Photography Service
Mark offers a photography service for your ceremony. Please note that this service is only available in conjunction with a ritual which we are also providing and is intended for smaller gatherings where a dedicated photographer is deemed to be inappropriate by the couple.

Our photography service is included in the fee for your ceremony. However, should more than about a dozen people be attending, we recommend that you procure the services of a dedicated event photographer in order to get the fuller photographic coverage usually required (as we do not take photographs of the bride getting ready, for example, nor at any reception). We would invite you to discuss your photography requirements with us, so that we can ensure you obtain the coverage of your ceremony that you want.

Mark will take photographs of the location, the couple, arrival and departure, plus group pictures of all your guests together at one location. Photograph can be taken at additional locations too, subject to availability, and further charges may apply. We are happy to discuss your precise requirements with you.

All photographs are provided on USB drive or DVD (your choice) for you to make as many copies as you wish (copyright remains with Mark Woodsford-Dean / Spiritual Orkney but you can make as many copies as you want to and reproduce the photographs however you wish); the DVD or USB drive will be posted to you.
 
Most of the photographs on this web-site were taken by Mark – so this gives you a good idea of the standard of photography. Mark has had his photographs published professionally in books and international magazines. One of his photographs was awarded 'commended' by Historic Scotland in their annual members' photography competition in 2019.

For obvious reasons, Mark cannot take photographs during the ritual, but we can restage key parts afterwards to provide a complete photographic record of your ceremony.
